The Best Choice:
Natural Hormone Replacement Therapy

Hormone replacement is a personal decision that women have to consider and decide which option is best for them and their symptoms. There has been much controversy lately about using HRT and its long-term benefits. Women shouldn’t have to make the difficult choice between symptom relief and long-term contraindications or a decreased quality of life without HRT. At Kubat Custom Health Care (KCHC), we provide a safe and effective alternative to synthetic HRT. We achieve this by using natural bio-identical hormones, which have the exact same molecular structure as the hormones produced by the body. Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement is very different than synthetic therapy which does not match the body’s own production of hormones. Therefore, because their structure is so very different, the synthetics can create many side effects and long-term problems. There have been some studies done recently that show that these harmful effects of the synthetic therapy outweigh any benefits.

At KCHC we provide customized HRT based on the patient’s history and symptoms. We understand that each woman is unique and, therefore, we treat her therapy as such. We believe in the triad relationship among physician, patient and pharmacist to achieve the best therapeutic outcome.

Natural Hormone Replacement Therapy can provide many benefits including but not limited to:

Estrogen levels can imapct many roles in the body relating to:

Estrone (10-20% of circulating estrogens) is the second most potent estrogen that is produced in the body.

Estradiol (10-20% of circulating estrogens) is the most potent estrogen.

Estriol (60-80% of circulating estrogens) is the weakest of the estrogens at relieving symptoms, but it is the least carcinogenic of all estrogens.

A combination of one or more of these estrogens can be compounded specifically for a patient. An example of a compounded prescription would be bi-estrogen (estriol and estradiol) or tri-estrogen (estriol, estradiol, and estrone). Another benefit of using a compounded RX is that you can customize the percentages of each estrogen component to best fit each woman’s individual needs.

Natural Progesterone

Progesterone is a naturally occurring female hormone that is produced by the ovaries. Progesterone is used for the treatment of hormone supplementation in women who are peri-menopausal, menopausal or have decreased progesterone levels with conditions such as PMS, infertility, irregular cycles, high-risk pregnancy and menstrual difficulties.

Progesterone levels can impact many roles in the body by:

  • Promoting secretory changes in uterine
  • Counteracting the prolific action of estrogen on the endomitrium
  • Supporting a full-term pregnancy
  • Maintaining uterine lining for implantation of fertilized egg
  • Decreasing uterine contractions
  • Preparing breast for lactation
  • Increasing osteoblast-mediated new bone formation
